Rules

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RULES WILL BE FOLLOWED.

GAMES WILL BE TWO TWENTY-MINUTE HALVES WITH RUNNING CLOCK EXCEPT FOR THE LAST MINUTE OF THE GAME.

TEAMS WILL GET FIVE TIMEOUTS PER GAME. EXCEPTION: IN GAMES OF EXTREME HEAT, THERE WILL BE AN UNDER TEN MINUTE OFFICIALS’ (HEAT) TIMEOUT EACH HALF. THIS, THEN, WILL AFFORD EACH TEAM ONLY THREE TIMEOUTS.

ROSTER LIMIT IS TWELVE PLAYERS PER TEAM.

PLAYERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO PLAY IN ONE DIVISION. NOTE: YOUNGER PLAYERS CAN PLAY UP IN ANY DIVISION CLASSIFICATION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 35 AND OLDER DIVISION.

ALL PLAYERS IN THE 35 AND OLDER DIVISION MUST BE 35 YEARS OF AGE PRIOR TO THEIR TEAM’S FIRST TOURNAMENT GAME. ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID AT TOURNAMENT SITE.

PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED FIVE PERSONAL FOULS PER GAME.

COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PERSONNEL ON THEIR BENCH. ONLY COACHES AND PLAYERS WHO ARE NAMED ON THE OFFICIAL TEAM ROSTER ARE ALLOWED ON THE BENCH. ANY VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN A TECHNICAL FOUL.

THEIR WILL BE A FIFTEEN MINUTE FORFEIT TIME.

BEFORE TAKING THE GAME COURT AND BENCH, ALLOW TEAMS LEAVING THE GAME COURT TIME TO VACATE THE COURT AND BENCH.

UPPER TEAM IN THE BRACKET IS THE GUEST AND WILL SIT TO THE LEFT OF THE OFFICIAL SCORERS’ TABLE AND THE LOWER TEAM IN THE BRACKET IS THE HOME TEAM AND WILL SIT TO THE RIGHT OF THE OFFICIAL SCORERS’ TABLE.

TEAMS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANUP OF THE BENCH AREAS OF ALL CUPS, BOTTLES, CANS, CLOTHING, TOWELS, TRASH, ETC.

ANY PLAYER EJECTED FROM THE GAME MUST LEAVE THE TOURNAMENT SITE.

TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS AND REFEREES ARE TO BE GIVEN THE UTMOST RESPECT.

TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS HAVE FINAL SAY IN ALL DISPUTES.
